Small Talk: You Never Know Unless You Try
By Maneesh on Mar 19, 2008 in Entrepreneurship
I have been thinking about some new websites that I want to launch. The problem is they are just thoughts as of now. And the more I think of them the more I fell I should stop thinking and get doing things.
I have to admit, am not the type who relishes challenges. Given a choice I’d rather prefer things go smooth, but at the same time I have never backed down when faced with such propositions. I figured that perhaps this is the trick. To grab the initiative and become the challenger rather than the one challenged.
This I understood is possible only if I stop thinking about all the possibilities and hindrance along the way and get to try them out first hand. The problem was that I got worrying a bit too much about the negative factors. It was more like me trying to convince myself that it is a bad idea and it won’t work.
Though a voice hiding somewhere within kept saying its all in your mind brother.
I didn’t know if I was afraid of failure or just ridicule. Perhaps the biggest problem was that if things don’t work out well I will lose something more than just money.. I might lose my confidence. Then out of nowhere I started stumbling on articles which seemed to know what is on my mind.
Some spoke about how it is important to take action and the other about the inevitability that most startups face failure.
And to add to the omens, I found myself saying to a very dear friend of mine.. “you can’t let an idea die without giving it a chance to live.”
This post is dedicated to the one who did.

I hope you did start what you had in mind by now

I know what you mean when you begin to think of all of the challenges of starting a new site especially if you have one established already. Starting from scratch can be tiring and require a lot of patience however it is a fun challenge. In order to take a short cut I have been looking at using Rasof a program to help me climb the seo rung fairy rapidly as there is no reason to start from scratch at a snails pace! Good luck in your new endeavor.
